As your therapist, I am committed to understanding your unique situation and to developing a customized treatment plan that aligns with your needs and goals. I offer a confidential, judgment-free environment online or in-person , where you can share openly and authentically.

My clients benefit from my extensive training and a compassionate and collaborative approach that incorporates evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.

For clients who feel they are being held back by traumatic experiences in their past, I also offer EMDR therapy to help them reprocess their memories and to heal, and for couples seeking to strengthen their relationships, I work within the Gottman Method to help them deepen their communication and intimacy.

My aim is not just to relieve your current challenges, but to help you find your strengths and to empower you with tools that promote lasting positive change.

My approach to therapy is:

Strengths-based

You already possess the inner strengths necessary for growth. Together, we will work to identify and build on these strengths and to empower you to overcome challenges and create the positive change you want.

Tailored

Your journey is as unique as you are. We will collaborate to create a customized treatment plan that aligns with your specific needs and goals.

Compassionate

I provide a safe and non-judgmental space either online or in-person where you can express your thoughts and emotions freely. This is about you – I am here to listen, support, and guide you through every step of your therapy.

My Story

We all change and grow throughout our lives and I’m no different. While helping others build solid foundations is a true calling for me, it was shaped and informed by my prior experience.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I earned degrees from Queen’s University and Concordia University and worked as a national news journalist and producer, a writer, and, prior to that, an actor and performer. These experiences immersed me in others’ life stories and brought me into close contact with a broad array of personalities that I sought to better understand.

My interest in connecting with and learning from people led me to work and live in New York, Los Angeles and London before returning to Canada to start my family, and subsequently receiving my Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, training in therapy techniques, including EMDR and Gottman Method Couples Counselling, and founding Foundations Mental Health in Toronto.
